Brief: Invent a name and design a corporate identity for an umbrella shop. It must be a vector graphic, only have 2 spot colours, and it must be appropriate for all ages.

After watching the recent Pixar Productions short-film, “The Blue Umbrella”, I liked the idea of personifying the umbrellas in the logo to give a friendly unique appearance (a clip from the short film can be seen underneath). I also gave the logo more of an animated look by simply placing the coloured shapes outside of the outlines.

I must say, I quite like that logo. I particularly like the notebook.

    Hi Andrew

We are The Umbrella Shop also based in Glasgow 🙂

We do like your designs as we know it took us ages to get something that we liked which fitted the spec above. If we ever decide to rebrand, then we will give you a shout.

    Keep up the good work!

Hey. Thanks a lot! I remember looking through your website when researching types of brollies and logos for inspiration! That sounds great and I’d be more than happy to help out. 😀
