As an addition to my blogs, I am going to begin featuring creative individuals which I find brilliant and inspiring and talk about who they are, show their work and what impact they have in the world. The first person I have chosen is Vera van Wolferen; a brilliant stop-motion animator.

Vera van Wolferen (1988) is a storyteller, cardboard craftswoman and creator of meticulously crafted cardboard sets that are often the stage for her stop motion animations but they can also be sculptures telling their own stories. Vera van Wolferen studied fine art at the AKI Academy of Art & Design in Enschede, Netherlands and specialized in stop motion during her masters in animation at AKV St. Joost where she graduated in 2013. The medium of stop motion animation combines her passion for sculpture with film and sound. With her atmospherical animations she tells stories about personal experiences. Using visual metaphors to draw you into a tactile world.

Below are 3 videos of her work which I think are brilliant, unique and beautifully crafted! You can see her website at www.veravanwolferen.nl or visit her other pages on Behance, FacebookPinterest, Twitter and a bunch of others!
