HAPPY Robert Burns Day!

Today celebrates the the birthday of Robert Burns, a Scottish poet who is widely seen as the national poet of Scotland. He was born in 1759, so it’s 262 years since he was born! You can do many things to celebrate Robert Burns today like having a Haggis supper, drinking a single malt whisky to toast him, and recitals of his poems. A few of his more popular writings are “A red, red rose”, “Willy Wastle”, “Tam O’Shanter”, “Address to a Haggis”, “Auld Lang Syne” and the “Selkirk Grace” which is a family favourite which my papa often recites before Sunday dinners. Give it a bash before your dinner, whatever it is, tonight! #RobertBurns#SelkirkGrace #Poetry #Poet #Scottish#Haggis #RedRedRose #AuldLangSyne
